Environment

Optimizing our energy consumption and Align our carbon trajectory with Net Zero at the heart of TDF’s Group environmental approach.

Optimizing our energy consumption

TDF is committed to acting on three main levers:
• monitoring and optimizing the consumption of operated sites in terms of energy supply,
• diversifying its sources of supply,
• developing the implementation of self-consumption solutions, particularly through renewable energy.
Rigorous energy management enables us to mitigate the effects of market fluctuations and secure supply. Reducing, diversifying, and self-consuming locally produced energy: three key actions that strengthen our environmental responsibility and resilience.

Our actions to optimize energy consumption

Photovoltaic solar shades

Photovoltaic canopies are installed by TDF Group, particularly through the expertise of its subsidiary ITAS, and are expected to save over 45 tons of carbon dioxide (CO2) per year once installation is complete.

TDF Group is industrializing this deployment and plans to equip 2,000 sites by 2026.

Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA)

In December 2022, TDF Group signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with Neoen for 62 MWc of solar energy.

The electricity will be produced by the future solar farms of Salernes (16.8 MWc) and Boussès (45.1 MWc), which will be managed by Neoen.

TDF Group will purchase 100% of the output from these two farms and will receive the first electrons from these plants starting January 1, 2026.

LED lights for aviation marking

High-altitude towers or those located in aviation navigation zones are subject to a legal requirement for both daytime and nighttime marking for civil aviation. TDF Group is gradually deploying a new system across its sites, consisting of high and medium intensity LED lights, which replaces the previously used xenon marking. This innovation reduces energy consumption by half and simplifies maintenance, providing a more reliable solution.

CVC Boxes for regulating our HVAC installations

The CVC Box is a regulation system for HVAC installations that promotes free cooling at production sites.

The objectives of the CVC Box are to:

  • Reduce energy consumption by half or more
  • Alert on faults in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
  • Trigger quick technician interventions

The CVC Box Connect allows remote access to data, modification of parameters, and diagnosis of faults.

Align our carbon trajectory with Net Zero

The company has been actively committed to the environment for several years:
• Since 2021, TDF measures its carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3
• Since 2024, TDF carries out life cycle analysis of its technical solutions in order to improve the calculation of its greenhouse gas emissions
• Several actions help to regularly reduce GhG emission
But scope 3 remains our challenge. To go further, collective mobilization is essential.
By working closely with our clients, partners, and suppliers, we can co-create sustainable solutions and engage our entire value chain to our Net Zero ambition

Carbon footprint 2025

Carbon footprint 2025

For the year 2025, TDF’s carbon footprints amounts to 108 895 tCO2eq. It is down by 23% compared with 2024.

Scope 1 : direct emissions from TDF’s sites (heating oil, fuel for vehicles, air conditioning gas leaks).

Scope 2 : indirect emissions from electricity consumption required for infrastructures & buildings.

Scope 3 : other indirect emissions (purchase of equipment & services, freight, travels, waste, value chain).

TDF carried out its first greenhouse gas emissions inventory (scopes 1 & 2) in 2011 according to the law. Since 2021, the balance is calculated on scopes 1, 2 & 3 at the Group level.
The inventory is prepared in accordance with Bilan Carbone® methodology & with ISO 14064-1, GHG Protocol & BEGES standards.

TDF Group’s sites are sometimes located in areas that require special attention from the company during both the construction of infrastructure and throughout their lifecycle. Through partnerships, TDF Group contributes to the preservation of ecosystems, addresses specific on-site issues, and enhances biodiversity knowledge within the company.
Carbon footprint audit

In 2025, the greenhouse gas emissions inventory of TDF’s Group, for the year 2024, has been audited by Bureau Veritas, independent third-party body, according to ISO 14064 3 standard (limited cover).

It certifies that TDF applies a recognised methodology, high-quality and consistent source data, the comprehensiveness of the scope, and reliable emission factors.

Our actions for biodiversity

Nest Boxes

Raptors favor high-altitude sites, including those of TDF Group. To balance the company’s industrial needs with the presence of kestrels, peregrine falcons, and even bats, TDF Group regularly consults with ornithological associations and environmental protection services to find sustainable solutions. Nest boxes are therefore regularly installed at production sites.

Eco-Pastures

Animals maintain a “permanent” meadow. Since 2016, TDF Group has been exploring alternative methods for managing green spaces at its production sites. In mainland France, several sites host goats, sheep, and horses. In Mayotte, zebu cattle are responsible for maintaining the Badamiers site.
